CCIM Multimedia Storytelling & The Science of Esports Workshops

Ball State's College of Communication, Information, and Media is excited to offer FREE grant-funded summer workshops for middle and high school students.

These workshops provide students an opportunity to explore college and career paths within the media and esports fields. Through a competitive application process, selected participants will stay overnight in a Ball State residence hall with all meals, drinks and snacks included. Students will participate in hands-on activities, learn new skills and partake in a variety of fun and engaging university programs introducing them to college and career paths within the media and esports fields!

Students in the Multimedia Storytelling workshop will learn how stories help people understand different worlds, lifestyles, and experiences using cameras, social media and other multimedia tools. Students in The Science of Esports workshop will learn how esports uses science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) to deliver, create and play esport games.

Middle school: June 20-22, 2025

High School program: June 23-26
